First impressions of Star Wars Outlaws
I'm playing a newly patched version, which thankfully gets rid of the horrible stealth problems and other issues. In my view so far, this a really good and unfairly maligned game.
The heroine is not a raving beauty, but she's appealing enough. She's in no way a Mary Sue. In fact, she's a bit of a screw-up -- reminiscent of Han Solo during his "I'm such an idiot" moments. She's fairly likeable.
The world is very well crafted. I'm not a Star Wars aficionado, but if I were I would be geeking out over how alive and well-realized exteriors, interiors, and npc's are. The criminal underworld is detailed and believable.
Combat is a little meh, but I have no skills or decent upgrades yet. It's got me interested.
