Oblivion remastered
I had forgotten what a tedious crawl this thing is. The entire design is an over-correction of Morrowind's innumerable exploits. The value of Oblivion is supposed to inhere in the wit of its quests and the charm of its characters. For me, there's not enough of either to make up for how criminally dumb the level scaling is. Pretty rapidly, every bandit and hedge wizard is decked out in ebony, glass, and daedric gear. Oblivion gates are horrible. Every other enemy casts drain Fatigue or drain Magicka (okay, I have to admit, I laugh every time I fall over from a Fatigue drain - it's just too funny).
I am enjoying the guild quests. Unfortunately, the game is crashing after about an hour's play. That never happens to me. I roll my eyes every time idiots on a Steam forum scream about crashing, because my games simply don't crash . . . until now. I suspect the problem has to do with loading cells every time you go from one room to another, but I could be wrong. I'm sure the combination of UE5 with the creaky, flea-bitten Creation engine has nothing to do with it.
