Speaking of Japanese, I highly recommend the series Last Samurai Standing. on Netflix. Excellent story. Best sword fight choreography ever.

Also recommended are the Rurouni Kenshin flims, also on Netflix, beginning with the 2012 Rurouni Kenshin (or Rurouni Kenshin Part I: Origins). Very interesting stories and fun characters. (I have not read the mangas or seen either of the TV series, so I have no investment in any of that.)
