RE: Happy 2026 btw!
You as well, Bili.
2026 will be remembered as the year people thought OpenAI and connected interests would fail because of slacking corporate ROI and the looming bubble. They overlook the fact that AI is the new space program. Corporations have not invested billions in hardware, data centers, and lobbying just to shrug and write everything off. If Microsoft threw millions at the Xbox console with no chance of investment return, do people really think they and other companies will be deterred because Sam Altman has his head up his ass? Your AI overlords are here to stay.
On another note, I revise my negative opinions about God of War 2018. This is a masterpiece. The story is great. The combat is amazing. The characters are really well drawn, except for Mimir, who adds absolutely nothing to the game and succeeds only at getting up my nose.
Also, I'm interested in the upcoming God of War series. I think Ryan Hurst will make an excellent Kratos. I'm a little worried that it's an Amazon Prime show. They shat the bed with Rings of Power. The second season of Fallout is not as strong as the first one, but I have hope they will energize it soon. I keep watching it because the showrunners are so meticulously faithful to the games, right down to completely accurate "props" like gauss rifles, fusion cores, and ammo boxes. Anyway, here is a youtube item on the GoW show:
