I'm certainly not gonna tell you that you don't know what you're talking about, because I don't know what you know, and my primary skillset is not anything to do with being an SWE.
But I do think that the idea that conventional (or whatever term you want) software will become obsolete due to LLMs or ML or any near-term generational interation--is unfounded. It's not gonna happen.
No need to debate or demean anybody, we'll just see what happens.
Personally I think the bubble is gonna pop well before the decade is over.
What exactly the sociopolitical maneuvering will be that goes with it, I don't know.
But I DID exchange emails with Larry Fink of BlackRock two days ago, and I wouldn't have put that on my BINGO card. (This is 100% true, if pretty irrelevant!)
