i had a similar problem with a linksys wireless b, and then also a linksys-G with the hacked linux-based firmware.
Never figured out the problem. I have a netgear now which I haven't had to reset or reboot for the last (maybe) 6 months since I bought it. For the wifi, I suspected interference from the cordless phone and 6 or 7 other wifi's in the neighborhood.
In my case the both routers were set as hubs only, since I use a computer with dual network cards and IPCOP linux distribution.
