I don't either, but in my case the modem was physically separated from the router by a computer firewall.
The second linksys also had a hub in between it and the firewall box.
Cheap tv antennas (for example) can act as radio jammers. I remember years ago, in california, somebody's rabbit-ear antenna on their boat was jamming frequencies across a wide band, even interfering with air traffic control.
