Also, you know that you must somehow get Levitation, either as a spell or through enchantment.
Also Mark/Recall, or at least some kind of teleportation scrolls. I guess you could trudge around and catch a disease, but why?
You should also join the Mages Guild to get the fast travel perk. In fact, you should join all the guilds if you can.
