I don't think there are any situations like that in NWN, though you may have the slight problem of repeatedly falling asleep every 30 minutes while playing it. Everything about NWN is boring and dull, from the graphics to the gameplay to the story.
Though I suppose any game released by Bioware right after Baldur's Gate 2 would have been doomed from the start.
