RE: Back from conference
Well, how do the infected sustain themselves? If their instinct is to attack the survivors, why are they doing it? What do they get out of it? Why are the special infected equipped with hunting and trapping apparatus, and why is there a pack structure with obvious hierarchical behaviors? All the military and medical survivors talk about their surprising adaptations. Why are they adapting if not to be more effective predators? If their whole raison d'etre is to kill the survivors, and if this killing has no association with sustenance, what they're doing makes no sense at all in nature. Why would they automatically be hostile toward the survivors unless the survivors supplied them with something? They're even dumber than brain-eating zombies.
