RE: Alas, the end of the road has come.
>>I can tell you from personal experience that doing what you love all the time for ten years straight will eventually make you sick of whatever that thing was.
Of course, much of this really depends on the person. I have a feeling that you're not actually doing what you love. Perhaps more along the lines of doing stuff you liked? I'm always amazed by some co-workers who are always in great moods despite them holding positions that I would not want to do for more than a few hours - and they've been doing it 10+ years.
Of course, most people in the world can't make a living off of their passions since reality dictates the cold hard fact that you can't make money by buying a $600 purse, or watching Monday night football. I can't tell the future, but there are plenty of people out their that love their work because they pour their heart and soul into whatever it is that they're doing, and that thing just so happens to be marketable - whether it's in the form of music, cooking, or coming up with important mathematical algorithms. I intend on being one of those people.
While on the road, I've had only one one night stand, and that was while I was between girlfriends. And as is usually the case with one night stands for me, it was boring, and hardly worth while. So, no Wilt Chamberlain-like antics for me.
The post was actually intended to be more about college advice, since just about all of you have been or are going through it. As usual, my ADD was kicking, and I got bored. Since I'm probably the biggest outcast on this forum, this obviously isn't the most ideal place to discuss personal matters. But I can't quit this place- old habits die hard.
Necro: Don't lie. You read my entire post, all while fantasizing about being me the whole time.
