This might help somewhat, but the best thing to do is try to get your manufacturer to send you an OEM copy of Windows if it didn't come with the computer, or buy a cheap OEM copy from newegg or a Canadian equivalent. You have to be sure that you have all the authentication key/sticker stuff noted down just in case something goes wrong. Before starting, get all the drivers you need from your computer mfr's website and make an image of your drive with something like DriveImage XML.

People all over the net will tell you to use your brother-in-law's copy of Windows or some torrent ISO, etc. This is not the cowboy way. Live clean, eat your vegetables, and you will prosper.
