I looked at some tablet kits, but they were bulky, underpowered, and thus too expensive for what you get. I'd rather have a device with a decent hacker following then my own device I'd have to put wayyy too much effort into in order to get it to do anything. Another nice thing about the nook color is that the boot process makes it difficult to brick the device.
