Subject: RE: ITT we discuss how to play infected in versus

Smoker - the cross heirs turn red when you're in pull distance as you probably already know.

Hunter - Pretty straight forward. You just have to get a feel for how far they can jump. Once you know that, it's as simple as aiming at a survivor. If you're going for long distance pounces, there is no trick in this, it's mostly a guessing game combined with luck. Just have to time a jump and be at the right place at the right time.

Spitter - You can get fairly good range with the spit. However, there are limits. If you try to hit someone from half a mile away it's going to fall short. Spit bounces on almost everything except the ground, so you can bank shots. There's not much to the physics, you just have to get a feel for it.

Boomer - Boomer is the easiest infected to suck at because they have next to no health. Don't discount their range on vomit. While it isn't half as far as the Spitter, you can still safely hit Survivors from a short distance. Boomer's vomit is a bit buggy IMO. Depending on the random objects and walls laying around, sometimes it'll look like you cover somebody in puke only to not hit them at all. If you suck at ranged attacks, find a close spot to spawn near them and run into the middle of the group. If the team sucks, they'll shoot you and you'll blow up all over them.

There is no real "trick" to any of the infected. Even the worst player in the world can do significant damage if they attack with their team.
