Ah, yes I misunderstood, the move you're talking about is the snap back, qcf+assist is the motion, works pretty much the same way it did in MvC2.
The thing about X-factor is that you can only use it once, not only does it give you more punch the less characters are left, but it also lasts longer. When set to medium damage, Ryu's shin shoryuken does a whopping 75% damage while X-factor is active. The way I've been holding out when the CPU activates it is by simply turtling.
The reason why I think everyone will pick X-23 is because every single person I played MvC1 and 2 with always picked Wolverine just to spam the shit out of berserker barrage, now a female version of Wolverine? I'm gonna be sick of having to guess her alternating high/low/throw rushes in a week.
I'm not big on zoning, more of a rusher. I haven't really settled on anyone yet, but back in MvC1 and 2 (The rare times I played them) I used to pick Strider, Cable or War Machine and a random third, which usually resulted in me getting Dan or some stupid other shitty joke character.
