RE: Jaime: Important MvC3 update
About the control scheme: While the developers claim it was done because six buttons were not needed, that the previous scheme had become rife with illogical moves based on what button you were pushing and needlessly complicated inputs, it's quite clear the real reason why it was done is because the standard controllers for the PS3 and 360 only have four grouped face buttons. Those of us with dedicated controllers would have no problem with a six button layout, but the second I tried SF4 with a standard 360 game controller I felt the same way as when I try to play a first person shooter on a console without a mouse and keyboard.
The transition felt easy to me as these days every single modern fighter out there that doesn't include the word "Street" in its name only uses four buttons.
Though I can certainly see how it could be confusing coming out of MvC2's six button layout, during my first couple of arcade games in MvC3 I was subconsciously pressing the assist buttons during magic air combos, trying to perform a basic zigzag combo.
