Upgrayyed gonna find me
Been using my old desktop for a little project I've been working on and some other shit when I find my laptop making me too lazy to do actual work.It was soon obvious that an athlon xp1700 wasn't cutting it. I bought an extra 512 meg dimm in hopes to see some performance gains just to realize usage rarely went above 400MB. So I was poking through the micro center pamphlet they put in the bag when I bough the memory, and couldn't resist an athlon II X4 640 w/free biostar A780L3G board for $96. Grabbed 4GB DDR3 for $40, zalman 400W psu for $28, and a DVDRW (yep.. I only had a CDR in there) for $23.
I'm holding on to my IDE drives for now because I'm using removable trays for multi booting, but it's obvious that they're slowing down load times.
