That's kinda pricey and bulky for an HTPC. You should focus on a barebones microatx board with integrated ION2 chipset and an Atom cpu.
For example:

case + mobo

You can get some of these with remotes, and the run around $200-300. Add whatever value ram to this.

harddrive

You'll want solid state so you can get a windows boot time of less than 10 seconds.

usb HDTV tuner

You can pull in hdtv channels with this.

2TB NAS
You'll also want a gigabit network with extra storage to stream movies from and also have space to mount for dvr recording. If you don't have another computer with sata raid, then you can set up an NAS in basement somewhere away from the TV.

Instead of getting a wireless mouse keyboard, get a small Android tablet pc and install XBMC remote on it. There's also some apps that let you emulate a keyboard and touchpad with it, but those are not as useful. If you can get xbmc setup properly, you should be able to just use the tablet as a remote to boot and shutdown the pc and control xbmc, beyond tv, WMC, etc from it.
