No, I don't underestimate how vindictive a psycho bitch ex could be. Not at all. What I highly doubt, is that somebody with that rationale is capable of fooling that many people and playing the system. To be honest with you, I don't buy that she would have made it past the initial police reports and even in to court unless her case was fairly solid. The system may be broken and not perfect, but any detective that's been on the job for more than 5 years can spot a fishy case from a mile away.
