RE: oh hi
Non-hyperbole version (mostly for Bili who is the only one with an opinion I vaguely care about):
Cat jumped onto crib rail while baby was sleeping, which is a habit of his.
Cat fell off rail into crib, got spooked.
Baby got spooked, grabbed cat.
Cat socked baby in the eye, ran away, leaving two small punctures near baby's eye.
I run when I hear the baby cry, see blood all over the baby's face and eye, freak out a bit and clean her up. Facial wounds bleed A LOT no matter how small.
Baby was able to open her eye immediately after it was cleaned up, and has been able to do so since.
Baby has a shiner on her right eye (you should see the other guy).
Cat is no longer allowed in the house while the baby is sleeping (the only time the baby is not under constant direct supervision).
Baby's eye does not show any inflammation or sign of infection and her last tetanus was 5 weeks ago (4.5 weeks before the incident).
MS super hyperbole troll edition:
Cat claws baby's face off, incompetent parents lock baby in room with cats when visiting the casino.
