Few years ago my mom got a claw into her eyeball. Claw left a nice sickle shaped cut into the sclera. Damned lucky it didn't get infected. Makes my skin crawl even thinking about it.
Cat got declawed, but mom never answered why the cat was so close to her face in the first place.
