I just finished the Flames of Vengeance expansion. Don't give up. It gets a LOT better. FoV is spectacular. If you're playing a melee character, the late-game fights are good stuff. Also, you become a GOD.
Larian put a lot of work into the combined Dragon Knight Saga. It's shamefully underrated, imo.
