Subject: RE: SW:TOR

I'm surprised they haven't already changed it to free-to-play. They probably will once they figure out they can make more money with microtransactions.

Q: It's great that SW:TOR is now free-to-play, but will your store sell items that will give players unfair advantages?

A: Not at all. Every item in the store can be earned through normal gameplay.

Q: I like the Twin Sith Light Saber of Mortal Wounding. It's neat how it applies Bleed penalties over time and randomly subtracts stats.

A: Yes, that's one of our feature items. It's only 3500 BioPoints, or $6.50.

Q: Seems reasonable. How long would it take for me to get that through normal play?

A: About 220 hours, give or take.

Q: Are you worried that this might give the microtransaction a very unfair advantage?

A: Oh no. We try to appeal to two mindsets: those who feel that their time is valuable and those who want to get the crap beaten out of them while everyone else moves on. So in this sense, the free-to-play model works out for everyone.

Q: It does seem very balanced.

A: Balance is key.
