Subject: RE: weird conjunction of fate

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is pretty good so far. I'm still on the first hostage mission, having chosen a stealth approach (with stun gun) in "Give Me a Challenge" difficulty (normal, apparently). This is still tutorial stuff, and I like the way the game handles the "hold down Tab to see a tutorial video" idea.

Enemies seem to be a bit dopey thus far, allowing me to stun them and take them down rather easily. I'm still trying to get the hang of hiding their unconscious "bodies." The E key wants to go on searching them (I think I may be doing this incorrectly). I've managed to accumulate all kinds of pistols, ammo, and grenades, but the "energy" snacks you need to replenish my energy for takedowns are scarce, as in I've only found one. It's early yet, but I like the stealth mechanics in Thief: Deadly Shadows a lot better.

Either the NPC intereactions and story are either not terribly interesting, or I'm missing a bunch of subtle plot points. I assume everything will get going once I've completed this first mission.
