The old live-action Dungeons and Dragons movie wasn't really suicide-bad. . . . well, maybe the rogue guy's hat . . . that was certainly grounds for killing yourself. But how often was that on screen? I think it's possible to watch this movie safely as long as you turn away when the rogue appears. Someone may develop some special rogue hat filter glasses. They may conflict with a 3D version of the movie, however, so precautions should still be taken.

A better example of a consistently suicide-inducing threat would be the pilot for Terra Nova. I do not recommend watching this without being liquored up to the point of nearly dying from alcohol poisoning. You could try using a towel to cover the screen, but new-fangled HDTVs might overheat. Maybe some vegetable-based hallucinogen would work.
