RE: I have a choice between
Twilight is an interesting case. I've never seen any of the Twilight movies. Nor have I read the books. Every time I think about doing either, I'm reminded of how I nearly died suffering through the Harry Potter series. I read the books. I saw the movies -- well, except the last movie -- because by that time I finally realized that the entire Harrry Potter IP was intended to erode the part of the brain that controls how we use eating utensils.
It became clear to me that Harry Potter was part of a scheme to make us forget how to use our hands for anything more complicated than carrying logs. The fast-food industry, which currently wants us to eat finger food, would eventually like to produce a single amorphous paste product which could be poured into troughs. Thus, it is logical to infer that the Harry Potter series was funded by an industry that wants us to eat paste. Burger King will probably call their paste product Whopper Fun Batter or something.
I realize that I have strayed from the Twilight issue, but the relationship between this IP and something worse than trough food is not far to seek.
