Okay, one more useless thing...I killed the Taurus Demon and was rewarded by looking at an incredibly beautiful overlook from a high castle. The sun was partially obscured by scrolling clouds, but an incredible array of sunbeams broke through the clouds...even the MP players scratched "Georgeous View!" on the lookout area.
So, I'm sitting there looking at this for about five minutes. I sat there staring at this insanely beautiful landscape, and finally strolled across the castle bridge to the next area. A strange character gave me a soapstone, which allows me to appear as a ghost in other players' games and write things on their wall to help them.
I looked down the bridge, raised my shield and walked carefully toward the next castle, when I'm turned into TOAST by a fire breathing dragon. TWO STEPS. No warning that a dragon was perched right above me....AAAAARRRRRGHHHH!!!!!
