Another incredibly important bulletin

One (1) orc got through the rift in the finale, ruining my 5-skull victory. That one orc snatched defeat from the jaws of victory . . . erm.

Anyway, I think I found a strategy that might work, thanks to one of the youtube people.
Instead of putting archers on the elevated platforms around the rift, he put them on ground level surrounding the rift. I was afraid to do this because I thought the orcs would maul them trying to get through, but it turns out that they rarely try to attack them, preferring to look for a way around them. They WILL attack them if they can't find a way, but their hesitation is their undoing.
Of course, I also put paladins at all the entrances I could afford, plus tar pits in front of the paladins. This helped a great deal.
The main problem occurs when you get giant waves of infantry and crossbow orcs from multiple doors simultaneously. You have to frantically run around and help the archers/paladins. And, of course, you're distracted by three kinds of ogres, the kobold sappers (dangerous), and the gnoll hunters.
To mitigate this, I've started using decoys, which are hilariously crude effigies of me stuck on top of exploding barrels. Some of the orcs, gnoll hunters, and sappers will try to attack these, which helps.
If I can just react a smidgen faster, I'll have it. Then you'll hear about it. I may post screenshots.
