At the beginning of wave 10, he starts laying down spore traps in anticipation of more ogres (spore traps "possess" enemies so they fight for you). BUT notice how he forgets about the horribly dangerous kobold sappers who, if they had made contact with him, would have asploded him instantly.
I can't understand why he's not using paladins. They might have absorbed the sapper damage. Spore traps should be placed only at the last second in front of the target (almost always an ogre) because you risk spore-trapping a mere orc and wasting the trap.
Anyway, I must respect him for his crowd control even without paladins. Notice in wave 11 how the ogres attack the decoys.
