As some of the commenters point out, the somewhat older AMD Phenom II quad cores like the 955 get neglected in these new system guides. They're incredibly good values. Also, you don't need a solid state drive, even though everyone thinks they're the cat's pajamas. Eventually you might, but right now they're overpriced and too small, leading people to split programs and data between the SSD and a big conventional HDD, which is going to give them problems -- maybe not now but eventually. Also, you can overclock if you want, but it's not necessary and can lead to issues that may be hard to pin down. Same with SLI and CrossFire setups, as well as "tweaking" Windows. Best rule for avoiding weirdness: keep it simple.
