I mentioned the HD 6xxx generation because it's the newest, but older 4 and 5 gen cards might be cheaper and would probably be all right. 6 supports DX11, but you wouldn't be able to use it with such a low-power card. Games using anything more advanced than DX9 are kind of rare.

The problem with low profile is that it's nearly impossible to find a low-profile card that does gaming decently. You're in the lower end of 128-bit territory. The low-profile form factor doesn't allow for enough guts and chips and whatnot.

Basic rule: if the card doesn't require its own power supply connection (which nearly all low-profiles do not), it's pretty weak. If it does require a power supply connection, you may not have the power supply to run it in an OEM that uses low profile. See?

I expect you'll wind up building from scratch, which is the right way to go.
