time machine
Several months ago, I decided to give stalker another shot. I guess the first time I tried, I was apparently too stupid to understand how to play it. The second time wasn't much better, but I did make it through, though I reached one of the false endings. By that point, I was pretty hooked, so I played it again and this time actually played it correctly. If became my favoritest game evar. The next obvious move was to play the sequels. Reading a few reviews which said the second one sucked, I skipped to the thrid one. Thirds a turd. I was disappointed and sad. My life in the zone was not worth living. It seemed pretty obvious that the game was hacked together by the dev's C-team. The massacre of the frachise had to be avenged. If the 2nd one was worse than the 3rd as was claimed, I had to see it for myself. So I played it, and to my delight, it was better. Still not as good as the first, but whatever. Sure, constantly getting mugged was annoying, but that wasn't as bad as the fact that towards the end, I had shitty broken armor. By the time I reached Chernobyl, I had NO armor left. I tried to play it through to no avail. I gave up. Though I still maintain that it was better than the 3rd. Once again I learned to not trust someone's word.
