Subject: RE: Decked out barbarian

The entirety of inferno was designed by having Blizzard's top players just barely be able to complete it then just multiply everything by two. It wasn't even properly tested in this new, twice as hard state. And that basically smacks of that infamous Wilson school of game design.

To quote some guy on some forum who probably stole it from some other guy: "Inferno mode is hard, but it is hardly fun."

I've made it to act 3 with the demon hunter, I'm at a point where basically anything that touches me kills me in one hit and having consulted with various other DH players that have slogged through inferno mode, I'm told a DH player can get the most perfect armor yet the only thing it'll be good for is to survive 2, maybe 3 hits tops. There is absolutely no point in trying to build up resistances or armor for this class.

Barbarians can expect to buy around 20 million worth of gear in the auction house before even attempting to go beyond act 2.

But fret not, Blizz has since admitted that inferno mode is currently ridiculous and have vowed to re-balance it in some future update.
