So far, the thinking is that this affects people who bought the digital download version of the game (have yet to see a retail/disk person report it -- I have not tried my retail/disk copy as I'm afraid Blizzard might set my computer on fire). The server may think that digital versions are startup versions. This online DRM thing is working out perfectly. Truly, it is the future of gaming.
