Dude. Get a portable unit. They vent outside via an attachment designed for sliding windows like you have. We have two in our condo for the fwe days per year that it actually gets above 80 here in Calgary. No, its not an iceball, it rarely gets really really cold here either. Calgary basically has the best climate of anywhere I have ever lived, and once you experience sunlight, you can never even consider living in Michigan again.
