Among Kripparrian's 7000 youtubes, a couple are probably getting a lot of attention right now. One is some armchair economic theory about how prices are only going to go up on the gold AH and everyone should buy instead of saving gold. The other is about how he dressed up his barbarian and enchantress for less than 500k at the gold AH and came out with pretty decent stats.
Even though his gold theory is silly, and even though he didn't show how well his cheap barbarian equipment worked (may have shown this in another video), you can be sure that every kid in the world will now be raiding the gold AH trying to buy cheap items with one or two good stats.
The point: if you want to do this yourself, you should proceed with alacrity.
