Yes, my disconnects have been extremely rare. I don't think I've ever died as a result of lag. My deaths are always due to my own hubris and miscalculation.
I never thought I would say this, but I actually like most of the crazy monster affix combinations. Well, not stupid things like fast-fast/burrowing-boss-with-invulnerable-minions, etc., but combinations like arcane/plague/frozen/vortex are rather fun now.
It also helps to have a monk going around gibbing whole piles of monsters and knocking them off the screen.
