I thought the way you farm gold was major gold find items, a demon hunter, and a ferret. Find something that respawns creatures (like spiders) in a lower Act and then go make a sandwich. The ferret kills them and grabs the gold for you. If you put yourself in a corner and put a weight on the keyboard, you probably won't get disconnected.
