The keep basement is full of soul rippers, which are bad enough as white mobs. Champions split up and kill you with velociraptor pack strategies. Example: while you concentrate on two in a northwest doorway, the other one comes around through a southeast door and kills you from behind . . . rapidly.
I'm not sure how much difference high-end gear is going to make in Acts 3 and 4. Probably not much.
