I'm the same way. I make money but refuse to spend it unless it's on a fully decked out Wal-Mart computer. I'm saving up for a house though. Once I have about 25 - 30 grand I'm going to put it down on something. I don't want one more than $150,000 but I should be able to do pretty good for that amount with the horrible state of real estate. I should also mention I've yet to start a 401k until I'm positive it won't all be lost in some horrid stock market crash. The fact of the matter is, I've convinced myself I'm broke. I nearly killed myself when I spent 20 dollars on my food alone when I went out to eat this week. I already told the gf we're not doing anything fancy this weekend to make up for it.
