And this is where a condo has some of the conveniences of an apartment, johnny. Sure, they won't replace a boiler, but they typically will replace a roof. You do pay association fees, but since they're not typically used for profits (except maybe a management co.), it's similar to the costs you would have on a house. Of course, it's not necessarily as cool as a house, but it's better than an apartment, and possibly cheaper than both.
