We will also learn that Yoda shared a room with Jar Jar Binks at the Jedi Academy. Jar Jar's midichlorian count was even higher than Yoda's, but he was expelled for injuring several padawans with a nerf lightsaber (and for killing Chewbacca -- this was Chewbacca's first death). Had this unfortunate event not occurred, Jar Jar would have been expelled eventually for letting his eyes wander during exams. But this is all beside the point. Yoda's rise to power actually begins when he wins the big speeder race on Rootuitootui, a swamp world similar to the one where we first encounter him in Episode 4 or 5 or whatever, during which he was still in puppet form and had not suffered his CG mutation.
