Good times, good times. I think we could have just left the game running unattended. By wave 60, the same monsters attacked every time -- armored orcs, kobold sappers, gnoll hunters/grenadiers, earth lords, every kind of troll. Every once in a while, there were goblin sappers and yetis. These were END YOU waves, but nothing was getting through.
People do get as high as wave 300, but they usually are no longer directly involved; it's basically unattended. They can't do anything to damage the monsters, so they wait for portals to recycle everything through traps over and over, or they have spores and the monsters beat each other up. Portals are more reliable for rift protection.
Eventually, the game crashes.
