the problem with dosbox is that dosbox is slow. I still tend to run blood at 640x480 when i bloodbath. I think i can get ~60fps at 800x600 but there can be dips in rooms with lots of sector links. I suppose if the resolution bothered me too much, id just setup an old pc with windows 98 and run at 1024x768 or something, but we only play blood a couple hours on a weekend (usually coop because im a lot better), and id rather not have another comptuer sitting around for just that.
for duke and shadow warrior windows ports you can run high resolution at fast frame rates and the game is exactly the same. prettymuch no downside. I wish there was a blood port.
