America! Fuck no!
I think I'm officially disgusted by american cheese. For the past several years, I've been making omlets and grilled cheese sandwiches using either colby jack, or cheddar. Last night I was craving both, but I was limited to the selection of groceries at the convenience store down the street, so Kraft American Singles it was. I don't remember grilled cheese sandwiches tasting this bad. Were my taste buds lying? I could barely finish them. Today, I figured I would make the omlet I've been craving. As soon as I placed those two sad pale orange squares on my eggs, I could tell something just wasn't quite right. Why were my eggs looking like radioactive vomit ooze rather than delicious happy yellow fluffiness held together by long strands of cheesiness when I pried them away from the pan with my fork? They weren't cheesy at all, just covered in that disgusting orange slime. With every bite, the displeasure mounted. I could not finish the plate. Never again will I eat this "cheese".
