Subject: Not really the end

I debated with myself about whether to put this in a new thread because I'm sure everyone is tired of OMD2 topics. Then I realized that irritating you with OMD2 spam adds zest to my otherwise drab routine. Also, what follows is too important to obscure as a mere reply in an existing OMD2 thread. Preamble done. Now to the glorious news.

Last night, ILA and I completed our mission to 5-skull all the endless OMD2 levels. Our engagement of The Quarry was a huge success, thanks to ILA's vigilant application of the bone pet. I believe we got through wave 44 but could not turn the absurd onslaught of earth lords and ogres in 45. We noticed that a tiny handful of people in the leaderboards exceeded 44 waves, but we know not how.

This is an important milestone. It tells us that orcs may gang up on us in their thousands. They may discourage us with their unsportsmanlike behavior. They may outright cheat. But they will lose in the end. We have proven this with hard, scientific data. There is nothing they can throw at us that we cannot cast back in their teeth. They may take away our lives, but they will never take our trinkets or my favorite sorceress costume with the adorable little white animal tail.

Does this bring the OMD2 saga to a conclusion? Will I cease to report on orc cowardice or the glorious victories of my toon? Certainly not. I, at least, will continue to improve in solo. ILA may be quite sick of the game by now, but he may, in his unfailingly polite manner, occasionally feign interest in a challenge level or whatever DLC may be forthcoming. We shall see.

But lest I forget to say it, the OMD franchise is the best game ever of all time, and if you have not played it, I weep for your soul. I cry bitter tears. They leak from my face. I'm using a paper towel to mop them up as I type this. For I am the bride of OMD. Although they are my bitter enemies, my heart belongs to the orcs.
