Everything is wiped. There will be no future wipes. They may reset your talent tree from time to time in certain patches but final release games do that anyway. Yes, you get to keep everything you bought with real money. Great thing about GGG is that the only things you can buy are cosmetic so it's not pay to win.
The reason they are doing this is for people just like you, who are reluctant to play because they dont want to waste time on progression only to be erased later.
