yeah theres no way of effectively conveying how actually being inside a video game feels like. it is an alternate reality, not a virtual reality. dont picture it as some lame plastered pixelated imagery that you're derping around in, like wearing VR goggles in the comfort of your own home while you're consciously detaching from the physical realm... this is an entirely different real life world, where every little bit, every square inch, every action and every moment is just as real as the normal world you left behind. there is nothing holding your perception of the dream realm back, it is no different than hearing a knock on your door and opening it to find a real life giant horrid mutilated monster breathing on you. you see shit like this on TV all the time but can you actually picture what seeing something like that in real life would be like? you would be instantly paralyzed with fear and either pass out or have a heart attack and die.
