It's a .40
I was looking at the XDs, which is their compact .45, but it felt too awkward without the extended magazine. Also, this one holds 16+1 rounds.
I haven't shot it yet, but I got lucky last time I was in Walmart, as the guy had the cart out stocking ammo right as I walked up. I'll probably head to the range either this weekend or the next.
