Has anyone here ever been shot? See, what a bullet does is rearrange tissue and fragment/shatter bones. It invades a closed, delicate system and rearranges it in unpredictable ways. Even a "clean" wound that passes through without cutting up important organs or circulatory channels or damaging bone = a big surprise for the body. You will almost always go into some form of shock as the body tries to respond to a very unusual event. So you will feel a 9mm wound, especially a center-mass one. But people usually don't hit what they're aiming at, even at close range, so you're better off with a baseball bat.
